What is an Activator?
An Activator is an adjusting instrument used to deliver gentle and effective treatment to patients of all ages. The Activator provides an impulse faster than the human hand, which means that less force is needed to deliver the chiropractic adjustment. Many chiropractors use the Activator to adjust their patients but only a small number carry the highest certification that Activator Methods Incorporated provides.
Who Can Benefit From Activator Care?
- Children from birth to adolescence respond extremely well to gentle Activator Care
- Those that do not enjoy the feeling or sound associated with a traditional manual adjustment
- People who have limited range of motion in their neck or extremities
- People with injuries or severe pain, and cannot tolerate other chiropractic methods
Activator Excels in Treating…
- Wrists, elbows, knees, ankles, and other joints in the arms and legs
- Ribs (Are you having pain when you breathe deeply?)
- Stiff or painful backs and necks
- Recent or new injuries
The Importance of Seeing an Expert.
There is a vast difference between a doctor that owns an Activator instrument and a doctor that has been trained to utilize the Activator Method of care. It is important to choose a highly trained doctor to insure that you get the best results possible.
Did you know? Activator Methods is the only instrument adjusting technique with clinical trials to support its effectiveness.

Here at Elite Advantage Chiropractic (EAC) we focus on three individual types of rehabilitation
- Rehab after an injury
- Rehab as prevention
- Rehab for athletes
Rehabilitation after an injury
After an injury, the primary objective is to eliminate pain, restore proper function, and get you back to your normal activities as quickly as possible. From ankle sprains to post-operative care, EAC uses treatments found to be the most effective and supported by scientific research.
Rehabilitation as Prevention
Some patients have the short term goal of eliminating pain and the long term goal of preventing injuries and health problems from recurring. For such patients, care does not end when the pain is no longer present. At EAC, we want to give you the tools you need to help yourself minimize the chance of pain or disability in the future. This is accomplished by designing special stretches and exercises specifically for you, to help minimize your risk of injury in the future, and help you function at your best.
In athletics, down time means falling behind and at EAC we want to see you achieve optimal athletic performance. This is why we use a multitude of rehabilitation and strengthening strategies to get you where you want, as quickly as possible. Rehabilitation and training can have many benefits including shorter recovery periods and increased performance. From the weekend warrior, to the avid crossfitter, to the elite athlete we have the knowledge to help you reach your goals.
Chiropractic is a health care profession with a focus in dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system. Chiropractic care is most often used to improve physical function or treat back pain, neck pain, and headaches but can also be used to improve function or treat pain in the joints of the arms and legs, the jaw, and many other parts of the body. Doctors of chiropractic or chiropractic physicians receive an extensive education to practice a drug-free, hands on approach to health care. Chiropractors have the training and skills to diagnose health conditions, provide rehabilitative exercises, nutritional advice, and lifestyle counseling. When chiropractic care is not the best treatment for a given condition, chiropractors may refer patients to the appropriate health care provider. In some cases chiropractors co-manage your care with other members of your health care team.
The chiropractic adjustment
The chiropractic adjustment is a therapeutic procedure performed by providing a controlled impulse into a joint that has become hypomobile (restricted in movement) with the goal of restoring normal joint movement. Chiropractic adjustments are safe and gentle for every member of your family.
